Signed up for [livejournal.com profile] serenity_santa and my Yuletide recipient sounds awesome, judging by his or her Dear Santa entry. Contemplating [livejournal.com profile] 3_ships at the moment, wondering if I should just merrily bounce around and take on all the challenges that appeal to me.

Also, I tried to explain applesauce to my kids today and they were disgusted. Heathens.

I had some ~*~American applesauce~*~ when I was living the States and found it hideous. My mum, though, makes the most delicious applesauce ever. Just mashed and boiled (I think) apples. That's it. Nothing else. Oh god nom nom nom.

Au naturale is best. I boiled some apple wedges and ate them with cinnamon the other night--deliciousness.

I dunno, I'm gonna have to go with the kids. I have a life-long aversion to applesauce despite the fact that apples in their natural form are my favorite fruit.

But then again, if they're really into kimchee, I'm not sure we'll be allied for long.

They do love their kimchi, which is something I still haven't been able to get into. Maybe I'll make some applesauce and bring it in sometime, though.
