Hello, Yuletide author!

Let me just say first and foremost that the reason I got into fandom to begin with was due to a tendency to latch onto minor characters and milk the backstory out of them even if I had to fill in 90% of the gaps myself. I love getting to see other people's takes on their inner workings and I'm not picky about the direction your interpretation takes as long as you write it credibly. It can be the most outrageous space coffeeshop high school AU known to humanity and I'll eat it up with a spoon the size of Saturn if you sell me on it. One thing I love about Yuletide is how it stretches the creativity of everyone involved and I always enjoy seeing just how wildly different another person's approach to canon can be from my own. Any rating is fine by me, and you're free to write anything from happiness or horror.

That said, I'm not a fan of crossovers (especially if I don't know the source material), soulmate AU's (they just make me want to pick apart the plot holes and the idea of characters being literally made for each other does nothing for me), or fic being used as either a battering ram or a soapbox. Also here's the obligatory mention that I'd prefer no kinks that involve bodily fluids better suited for the bathroom. No shame in that if it's your thing, it just isn't mine.

If you need clarification on any point, I'm re-crudescence on tumblr and you're welcome to send me an anonymous ask. I'm less active on LJ and DW, but anon comments either of these places are fine as well.

Now that you know a little something about me, and I obviously know that you're here because you have impeccable taste in small fandoms...

Yuletide happened! I wasn't able to read as voraciously as I did last year, so I haven't collated enough data for a recs post as of now. But I was, unlike last year, able to write more than one fic. I also learned a lot about Senegalese animist beliefs and the perils of creating sock Tumblrs (not for the same fic).

Great Scott, I've created life itself!

Hi, wow, it's...the first time I've posted here since last Yuletide. Consistency is important. This is, what, the fifth year I've done Yuletide? And there are so many awesome fandoms to get excited about, I never had a prayer at keeping myself away.

That said, the reason I got into fandom to begin with was out of an tendency to latch onto background characters and milk the backstory out of them. So quite a lot of my requests involve characters who I'd very much like to learn more about in canon. Slightly belated salutations to you, bringer of Yuletide cheer! I'm super excited you're writing for me and I hope this post is helpful to you.

First things first, the number-one factor I look for in a fic is credibility. If you decide to write a genderswapped fic where everyone speaks only in iambic pentameter, that's fabulous! As long as you sell me on it and it doesn't come across like you've shoved a bunch of TVtropes pages into a blender just to see what comes out. One thing I love about Yuletide is how it stretches the creativity of everyone involved and I always enjoy seeing just how wildly different another person's approach to canon can be from my own. Any rating is fine by me, but I'm not a fan of fic being used as either a battering ram for some undesirable character or a soapbox for your thoughts on whatever it is the canon's done wrong. That said, I've honestly never received a Yuletide fic I didn't enjoy and I'm sure whatever you come up with will be made of glory and snickerdoodles.

If you need further details on anything, you can always send me an anon ask on Tumblr, where I'm yviwashere.

Made my claim for [livejournal.com profile] i_reversebang, finished moving, and decided to celebrate by taking prompts on Tumblr. [personal profile] tourdefierce wanted spooning sex and got a Scott/Isaac/feelings threesome, which is probably grounds for fisticuffs and definitely all because Daniel Sharman looks really pretty in everything from wet t-shirts and hideous cardigans.

Title: loneliness lives in corners
Fandom: Teen Wolf
Rating: M
Pairing: Scott/Isaac
Disclaimer: Don't own 'em, making no profit off 'em, etc.
Word Count: 5,000
Summary: Somewhere between breakfast and cross country practice on Saturday morning, Scott realizes he can memorize at least a dozen SAT words in a snap just by picturing Isaac’s face instead of trying to recall their exact definitions.

Title: Virgin State of Mind
Fandom: Teen Wolf
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Stiles/Danny
Disclaimer: Don't own 'em, making no profit off 'em, etc.
Word Count: 3,400
Summary: Stiles needs to get laid or risk becoming the next virgin sacrifice. Fortunately, Danny is an altruistic kind of guy. Inspired by this scene from Unleashed (ep 4 of season 3).

Finished this just in time for the new season of Teen Wolf, during which my goal is to write something that involves no references to Derek cooking. Aiming high, y'all.

Title: Counterfeit Heartstrings
Fandom: Inception
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Arthur/Eames
Disclaimer: Don't own 'em, making no profit off 'em, etc.
Word Count: 14,500
Summary: The situation was a simple one: Eames botched up a job and needed to stay someplace he wasn’t likely to be found until it all blew over. Then Arthur met him at the airport with a frown and a key and the words, “Don’t make me regret this,” and suddenly everything sprouted several more twists and turns than Eames was expecting.

This was originally posted as an April Fools Day fic while I was buzzed on discount jelly beans.

Title: Slap on the Wrist
Fandom: Teen Wolf
Rating: R
Pairing: Derek Hale/Sheriff Stilinski (the other Sterek, if you will)
Disclaimer: Don't own 'em, making no profit off 'em, etc.
Word Count: 1,300
Summary: Derek likes to think not much fazes him anymore. First of all, he was raised in a fucking werewolf pack, which tends to set the bar fairly high.
