God, you guys...I have no idea what I want to do with my life.
One day, I'll want to teach in Thailand. The next day, I'll want to own a bookshop in Barcelona. The day after that, I'll be wondering if I should actually try my hand at submitting some writing to an actual publication, or maybe writing that thesis on drag kings my anthro adviser vetoed senior year.
I think my head is going to explode. I'm ready to move on, but I don't know where.

Are you interested in making films? I've been toying with that idea recently. Also with living in a cave and being a princess. You're welcome to join me if you like.

Here are three pieces of advice people have given me that I've found very helpful:
1 - You don't have to pick just one. Think of what you might like to do now, or first, instead of what you might want to do forever.
2 - What is really holding you back? Is it possible that you're worried about not being as successful at something as you hope, and you've protecting yourself from finding out by considering so many choices that you're paralyzed?
3 - Try making a list of each option you're considering and writing up all the pros and cons and why you'd like to do it and how you'd do it and what you'd get out of it, etc. Then compare items and see which are the most plausible.
Maybe helpful, maybe not -- I hope the former.

Maybe there should be a club for "Can't decide where to go"-ers.
I want to be a)comic artist, b)television prop-worker, c)hermit in Canada, d)travel the world on foot, e)bookshop owner and many more. I guess for now I'll stick with becoming a teacher. How boring.
Sometimes I do wonder if we just have to many possibilities nowadays...
