I saw a fic announcement on an LJ comm I belong to, and I fully intended to read it until I came upon the part that said, "I didn't use a beta reader and I don't care about spelling and grammar mistakes. Deal with it." And there was a spelling error in the LJ-cut text. Guess what I DIDN'T read.

Yeah, that isn't off-putting in the slightest. Having a cavalier outlook on your work is one thing, but some tidbits are better left unsaid than advertised, you know?
