After haggling with the Hyatt and being alerted TEN MINUTES AGO that one of our panelists for Tuesday's event can't make it, I have found a replacement, sent him all the info, and alerted our event partner.
I rule.
...and omg, so never using this Hyatt again. When your catering contact leaves her job and you get a replacement, something is bound to get lost in translation, but Lord.
Went out with La Actriz last night, got dinner and power adapters. I need to pick up a few more Egypt things, like a huge hat in order to keep my face from peeling off, and see about my visa--apparently, the norm is for people to get their passports stamped upon arrival, but I called the consulate to check and was told it depends on the airline, so maybe I'll just get mine in advance to be sure.
