In happier news, nakeno and I are making progress on the get_house_laid front. Earlier today, I strung a bunch of our freewriting into a draft, then tossed it her way for editing and, ideally, an ending.

I fail so hard at writing endings sometimes, and I don't have anything in mind to tie up this particular fic, so I'm really hoping she'll either cap it off or throw out an idea that'll spur me into doing it.

Did I mention concise? Like, six pages exactly right now. We're making progress, yesweare.

Okay, so back in the day I occasionally cranked out sub-par fanart. Today I logged into DeviantArt for the first time in ages, browsed the fanart sections for some of my old fandoms, and came across something very intriguing.

This one, I drew over three years ago. This one, some dude by the name of Chibi Joe produced several months later.

Now, on one hand, the guy's not passing off my work as his own. He just...colored over it. Kind of crappily. On the other, what the hell? If you want to draw something, have a little originality.

I guess I could report it, but I've never really cared for DevArt and don't plan on using it again. At this point, I'm leaning more towards amused than giving a damn, anyway. Because...hello, what timing. Oh, the irony.
