I had a tutoring session yesterday that went really well--verbal SAT prep, and it turns out the kid is Korean-American, so we chatted a little about Korea--and today I got new shoes. Good times.

Tomorrow afternoon, I'll be hopping a bus to NYC in order to visit La Actriz, then coming back Sunday evening and crashing at Xanthe's since the metro's going to be closed by the time I get in. I think the plan is to take in a show while I'm up there, which would be cool.

This entry sucks, but I'm really bored right now. How are you?

ETA: There's a blog that does recaps of Christopher Pike books. The most recent entry is on Scavenger Hunt, the one with the incest and the dinosaurs and all these other heartrending plot points that Pike probably came up with during an LSD binge or something. Even in middle school, I was skeptical.

I am so there.

Right this minute I am ouchy (because I am always ouchy) and tired (because I am always tired) but I have actually had a pretty awesome day; I got some writing done for the first time in a while, I have a plan for the next few weeks. The bigger-boy is stuck at work because of computer issues so we're ordering in dinner when he gets home, and the littler-boy will go to bed in two hours, which is always brilliant; so later I'll still be chatting with people and I'm going to watch 'This Hour has 22 Minutes' on DVD (it's kind of like a Canadian version of The Daily Show) and enjoy my writing and see another movie tomorrow afternoon. <3
Things are pretty astonishingly boring here but they usually are.

Sounds like a cool DVD. What don't Canadians have? And writing FTW! I have gone forth and read and gotten confused by all the different versions of that Wilson-looking-into-a-box icon floating around.

That's totally [livejournal.com profile] jane_hidell's fault. <3
Canadians do not have check cards, which is seriously irritating when you're trying to order things online. <3

Glad the tutoring session went well! Get any good tips about living in Korea?

Yay, NYC! Haven't visited for almost a year now. I'd love to see Equus when it comes to NY, but I fear all the Dan Rad fangirls will make things difficult. Hopefully it'll run long enough that he'll leave, be replaced, and the show will be easier to see.

We didn't talk about it too much, since I wanted to make sure he had time to review vocab, but I hope to get some more details next time.

I'm not sure what we'll end up seeing, but I honestly don't care that much--it's been ages since I saw a show in NY, so I'm not going to be picky.

DUDE I LOVE CHRISTOPHER PIKE. :D I read, like, everything he ever wrote when I was *mumbledy-mumble* younger than I am now. Younger than middle school, for sure!

YA recap blogs are my new procrastination tools. I am not ashamed at all. =)
