So, thanks to various tip-offs via [livejournal.com profile] bluerosefairy, [livejournal.com profile] nakeno, and [livejournal.com profile] imkalena, I'm watching The Inside.

Also known as the show that looks and sounds like Criminal Minds and came out around the same time as Criminal Minds, but only lasted a season, unlike Criminal Minds. You've got your door-kicking badass, your tormented leader with his tormented spouse, your sassy tech-girl, your enigmatic wisecracking veteran, and your vulnerable undernourished prodigy, all thrown into a crime-show setting and voila, limited number of outcomes.

It kind of bothers me that it's not so much an ensemble show as it is a Mary Sue fest in which the gorgeous blond chick is tragic and brave and right about everything. They do use the word unsub a lot less frequently, though, so that's nice.

Adam Baldwin is in it, and it's driving me nuts because his character is like a combination of his characters from Firefly and Chuck and it makes me feel like I've entered a parallel universe.

And the current episode is about a guy who does disgusting things with dolls, so I think I'm gonna go do some more vocalizing in the Eliza Doolittle vein now.

I kept hoping that Rebecca was going to die horribly, so I was perpetually disappointed. And Adam Baldwin was hardly in it at all, so I was disappointed about *that.* However, I did have some crossovery fun because Ballard in Dollhouse is *exactly* like the serial killers they tracked.

That's what bothers me, the fact that it's The Rebecca Show and none of the other characters get anywhere near as much screen time. Then again, I haven't seen all the eps yet, so maybe I'm wrong. And there have been a few Firefly references, which helps.

Peter Coyote is freaking *scary* in this. It includes the most frightening interlude between him and a prostitute that I've ever seen on tv, and it shocked me. If you've seen that one, I'll tell you why. :)

His toupee is pretty terrifying on its own...or whatever the hell is going on with his hair. I don't think I've seen that one yet! Might have to look back into the show now.

(Sorry I haven't brushed off any Chuckstuff yet; I'm getting there! Work and whatall have been getting in the way.)
