Goddamn, I want to write some Ghostwriter fanfiction.

I remember in the very first episode, the case they solved involved a bunch of gamer kids who RPed their favorite characters and Alex had to go undercover to learn what their secrets were, only he blew his cover when he signed the roster as Great Gripper (of what, the world may never know; I'm not sure it was that kind of RP, though that would have been amazing) instead of Kool Kicker.

And there was another one were Token Asian Tina made friends with a girl from Mozambique who ran away to look for her brother (in hindsight, I had such a crush on Tina because she was the prettiest and she made movies).

Gah, what else...

Julia Stiles guest-starring as a cocky computer hacker with great hair!

Lenni, the amazing white rapper who I think eventually was proclaimed Jewish!

Tina's older brother battling his Vietnamese heritage and his desire to be American! I also remember him being into Guns N' Roses.

Ghostwriter traveling back in time to 1928 and talking to the family that used to live in Jamal's house! (And what was up with Jamal popping up everywhere in the mid-to-late 90's as the "look, we're diverse, and here's an ethnic name to prove it!" darling? I've still never actually known a Jamal.)

The show randomly getting a new Gaby (Mayteana Morales was so much cuter than whatsherface) and clearly hoping no one would notice.

Rob, the brooding-yet-poetic sk8ter boi who was clearly destined to hook up with Alex in a few years, leaving the team when his mom was transferred to Australia.

Jamal's pimpin' green-screen clunker of a computer and everyone treating it with awe.

The dude who played Hector turning up on Real World as the gay drama queen du jour. In my defense, this was the only RW ep I ever saw and I couldn't believe it when he said he'd been on Ghostwriter.

Alex being kind of a player, with female pen pals all over the world.

That fucking Slime Monster miniseries. That scared the hell out of me. Like, up there with the Goosebumps Night of the Living Dummy book. Jesus. I don't like it when innocuous things get all evil-ified. I always had to turn my stuffed animals away from me when I slept after reading or seeing something like that.

Brb, reminiscing.

ETA: OMFG YOU GUYS! What if the Ghostwriter team met the Animorphs?!!?! *head explodes*
