Eeee, I'm so proud of my kindergarteners.
I'm teaching them Jingle Bells for our Christmas party (since the school is officially calling it one, I've tried to stop mentally going "OMG, but what if someone's Buddhist?") and today I told them if they did it perfectly in class then we would go rehearse on the stage in the library.
Everyone has a one-line solo and a couple of them were having a little trouble (for one, the boy who had "making spirits bright" kept singing "making supper bright"), so they decided amongst themselves to trade lines and very politely asked me if it was okay. And then we ran through it, they nailed it, and there was much grinning and clapping and hugging and it was pretty much the cutest thing I've seen all week.
They're also doing an acrostic recitation of the word Christmas, with each student doing one letter, and they're all rocking it out. I am so going to try and get it on video when they perform.
