I hate

pugnacious people
and
revising my resume (am i a KEY CONTRIBUTOR or a DYNAMIC PROFESSIONAL?)

and
not being able to find my doorstop-sized book of E.E. Cummings poems

and?

I got a new camera and am madly in love with it. Looklooklook.

I approve of people having doorstop-sized books of poetry. <3 There's something lovely about that. (And I have one of those irises outside of my living room window.)
Also: anything involving job searching including resumes is the work of the goddamn devil. In my opinion. Your mileage may vary.

I keep tweaking little bits of mine before I send it out. It's a pain. So is the fact that there's this one poem I really want to reread and it's nowhere to be found online. I think I'm going to keep on admiring the iris and thinking zen thoughts. There we go.

A geek friend of mine has this massive compiled poetry thingymabob. (http://www.cs.rice.edu/~ssiyer/minstrels/) maybe it's in there?

No luck, but I'm actually on the Minstrels mailing list (though it seems to have come to a halt) and like to poke around the site every now and then. =)

I think key contributor sounds better than dynamic professional. You can save dynamic for the cover letter.

I'm amused by the fact that people are actually weighing in on this. I love my flist so much.

BEAUTIFUL.

To me, dynamic professional says leadership material, but key contributer might show that you're more of a people-person.

I'm going to become insufferable with this camera and I really don't care. =)

Yeah, I'm scrapping the word dynamic altogether, but key contributer I like.

Oh, wow, that is SHARP.

Personally, I like "key contributor" because it's specific, while "dynamic professional" sounds buzz-word-y. Which, hey, could be what HR people are looking for....

I want to take the center petals, turn them upside down, and wear them for a skirt. That would look so gorgeous. If I were Thumbelina.

That's exactly what I thought, and I scrapped the latter completely. =)

It would be a lovely skirt. Now I'm imagining a Project Runway challenge where they have to design dresses based on flowers. Imagine the richly dyed fabrics.

Have you seen the ep in S2 where they make dresses out of flowers? It's so cool.
