This is the coolest thing I've seen all day.
It's a bracelet! With banned books on it! So's this!
If I actually wore bracelets and spent this kind of money on accessories, I'd so spring for one. I have particular affinities for Annie on My Mind, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Blubber.
Mostly Blubber. I love YA books that don't sugarcoat childhood. I'm not a fan of the new, modern cover, which shows a handful of schoolkids clustered around a grimacing girl at her desk. I believe it's supposed to be the scene where Wendy tries to make Linda eat a chocolate-covered ant. My copy is old and raggedy; the cover shows a vaguely chubby Linda doing her report on whales and, in the foreground, you see two other students whispering behind their hands at each other, and you just knowknowknow that they're going to do something terrible to that other girl.
So here's a question, for anyone who's not still reveling in squee-land (come on, you've had two hours!): are there any young adult books that you're particularly attached to?
