OH MY GOD do I love this. Most of the time in fic it seems like it's all about Kaylee wanting to be part of Inara's Companion lifestyle, and that's fine, but one of the things I love most about Inara is her adaptability - Inara is leaning against the counter, looking perfectly at home and egregiously out of place at the same time. She's tough, like Serenity, and sometimes Kaylee forgets that is SUCH a brilliant summation, wow - and you've done a beautful rendering here of how Inara manages to fit perfectly with Kaylee and Serenity herself. Definitely adding to Favorites :)
