Dear sir, I do not think it matters that math and I don't interact well, since, you see, when I was thirteen-fourteen-fifteen my favorite poem was called "Heautontimoroumenos" because my father was cool enough to introduce me to Les Fleurs du Mal and this, therefore, is PROOF that I am sometimes capable of being JUST A LITTLE BIT SMART.

If you spend your freshman year of high school wearing too much eyeliner and skipping lunch in the library with a bony-handed girl whose veins look inked on, blabbing about important things like Tori Amos and Verlaine, you are destined for greatness.

Still not a redhead, but I've managed to tug out about half of my left eyebrow. Oops.

Ha. I have ordered pizza and resurrected my ability to sing the quadratic formula to the tune of "Pop Goes the Weasel." All is not lost.

I'm trying to study for the GREs and not doing very well. Granted, I'm not feeling as lousy as I was these past couple days, but I'm still ridiculously tired in spite of having napped most of the day, and I keep procrastinating by doing stupid things like drawing whales in the margins of my notebook.

Yeah, I don't even know. Algebra and I have never gotten along.

Maybe I'll procrastinate a little more and dye my hair. Or cut it. Or both. I learned a new word the other day: autotonsorialist. Which is a person who cuts his or her own hair. So...by messing around with my hair, I'm technically studying for the verbal secion of the test.

Anyway, a few weeks ago, I gave myself some short blunt bangs and consequently a Christopher-Robin-joins-the-Mod-Squad look, but it's grown out enough for me to be bored with it. And there's a box of red dye by the sink and I haven't been a redhead in over a year and algebra is stamping its feet and yowling about how I never put any effort into our relationship, so maybe we should take a break and try again later. That's the plan.
